BOBBY & TAMMY – JACK RUSSELLS
PROBLEM -BOBBY AGGRESSION TO PEOPLE, TAMMY AGGRESSION TO DOGS
Jean rang me about her two Jack Russell terriers and their problems.
Unfortunately for her, Bobby aged 5 shows aggression to people and is a determined ankle nipper, but great with dogs and Tammy aged 9 is aggressive towards other dogs but great with people!
On visiting Jean and her husband Chris, it was apparent that many aspects of the dogs home-life were contributing to their behaviour.
There was the added complication of a 13-week old GSD puppy which would clearly have its behaviour adversely affected if the two older dogs were not sorted out quickly.
Jean totally unaccepted that major changes would have to be made and it would be fair to say that Chris was initially doubtful whether this could be achieved with two dogs so set in their ways and particularly with one of them 9 years old.
I reassured them that age would be no barrier to their rehabilitation and was quickly able to show them that with strong leadership and positive role behaviour we could make significant changes, which proved to be the case.
"Thankyou for all you have done for us Peter. We cannot believe the change in them and so quickly. All the growling and barking has stopped and we can now take them out without being so concerned all the time.
I would never have believed this could happen and their behaviour has been totally transformed”. Jean
